  • Our main parking lot is located off Energy Court, west of the BP Energy Center. A footpath leads to our main entrance.

An ADA and staff parking lot is located at the east end of Energy Court (past Early Learning for Everyone - Midtown). A footpath leads to the ADA entrance. Access to our service entrance is from this parking lot.
Do not park on the sidewalk in front of the service entrance door when unloading or loading items for your event!

Overflow parking is available across Energy Court in the south lots of 900 E Benson.

*Please do not park in the Early Learning for Everyone - Midtown or Residence Inn parking lots.

  • Our service entrance is available for loading in/out heavy or bulky items and for catering. It is located adjacent to our ADA/Staff parking lot at the east end of Energy Court.

  • You can arrange the tables and chairs in the meeting space to fit your needs.
Please consider the time required for these changes and plan your reservation accordingly. If you need to make layout changes before your meeting starts, please schedule enough time before your attendees arrive. The rooms must be returned to their default setup by the end of your reservation.

  • The Alder/Cottonwood, Birch, Fir, and Spruce/Willow rooms all have integrated audio support with wireless handheld microphones.

The Alder/Cottonwood, Aspen, Fir, and Spruce/Willow rooms all have virtual meeting equipment including a camera, and monitor or projector.

The Birch room has a projector and screen but does not have virtual meeting capability.

We strongly recommend scheduling a free “Tech Check” before your event to test device compatibility. It is important that the equipment used during the compatibility test is the same that is used for the event.

  • Organizations are welcome to bring or cater refreshments and meals for their attendees.

A link to our catering and food policy is here.

  • No. For the safety and wellbeing of staff and other users of the facility, pets and emotional support animals or prohibited.

However, service dogs are welcome. When a service dog enters the facility, staff may ask:

    • “Is the service dog required because of a disability?”

    • “What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?”

The owner of the service dog is responsible for any related clean up needs.

    • In some cases, an additional cleaning charge may be applied.

Advanced notice of service dog use is appreciated to allow staff to inform other user groups in case of allergies or phobia.

  • Children under the age of 18 are welcome at the BP Energy Center with adequate adult (over 18 years old) supervision. The BP Energy Center provides professional meeting space for the non-profit organizations of Alaska and was not designed with child play in mind. Our common areas are not available space for children during meetings.
For safety and liability reasons, unattended or unsupervised children will result in at least a request for a responsible adult to remedy the situation, at most an involuntary and immediate shutdown of the meeting space.
